About Captain Danny Harvey

Captain Danny Harvey is a southwest Florida native, born and raised in Englewood, FL. He has been fishing the local coastal waters since he was old enough to stand and hold a fishing rod. Becoming a guide is a dream come true for Danny, one that he has been mulling around since childhood. With around 25 years of passion for saltwater fishing building in his bones, he has interacted with a variety of fish and marine wildlife that has helped him gain invaluable knowledge of the behavior and patterns of the fish he targets and the animals that he can teach you about. While being a licensed (and commercially insured) USCG Captain (OUPV/6pack license holder), he has also earned the accreditation of becoming a Florida Master Naturalist (which sets him apart from many other charter captains), is an experienced five star rated tour guide at SUP Englewood, and is CPR and first aid certified. On top of that, conservation is very important to him so he will teach you the correct ways to handle fish, proper catch & release methods to keep fish around for another day, as well as proper ways to practice passive viewing of wildlife, especially dolphins and manatees.
